Born in Bouake on May 13, 1983 in Gnegneri Yaya Toure is a former Ivorian professional footballer who played as a midfielder.

Toure began his playing career with Ivorian club ASEC Mimosas, making his debut at age 18. He later had stinct with Beveren, Metalurh Donetsk, Olympiacos and Monaco.

In 2007, Toure joined Barcelona, where he made over 100 appearances for the club and was part of the historic 2009 Barcelona side that won six trophies in that calendar year.

He joined Manchester City in the Premier League from Barcelona in 2010, helping them to clinch their first League title [2012 Premier League] in 44 year. Toure made about 230 appearances for the club, scoring 59 in that process.
