Wesley Sneijder believe he could have reach Messi and Ronaldo level had he focused
Barcelona and Juventus stars are widely considered as the greatest players on the planet, but Sneijder believe he could have achieve the same feet as them.
The former Inter man believes he would have been at par with the two super stars [Messi & Ronaldo] had it not been for a weakness he suffered.
The former Dutch international enjoyed a stellar career with Ajax, Madrid and Inter, surpassing the two in 2010 to win the Champoins League and ultimately reaching the FIFA World Cup final, where they lost to eventual winners Spain.
In an interview with Sky Sports journalist Gianluca Di Mario, the 35-year-old said: “I could have become like Messi or Ronaldo. I simply didn’t feel like it.”
“I enjoyed my life, maybe I had glass of wine at dinner. Leo [Messi] and Cristiano [Ronaldo] are different,they have made sacrifices, and that is fine with me”.
“My career, however,was still amazing.”
Messi and Ronaldo, have shared 11 Ballon d’Or’s between them, with the Argentine winning 6 and his fierce rival with 5.
