Individual awards winners for 2018/19 UEFA Champions League Campaign.

Virgil Van Dijk beat off competition from three-time UEFA Men’s Player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo and two-time winner Lionel Messi to become 2019 UEFA Men’s Player of the year.

Van Dijk has become the first player in England to win this prestigious award after Cristiano Ronaldo did it during his playing time at Man.United.

Barcelona’s Lionel Messi, was adjudged the best forward in the 2018/19 Champions League after scoring 12 goals and eventually becoming the top scorer.

The best Midfielder of the season went to Frankie De Jong following an impressive season for Ajax in the 2018/19 Champions League campaign.

The 22-year-old became one of the hottest properties in European football as the Amsterdam club battled their way through to the Champions League semi-finals, before losing out to Tottenham.

After an impressive season both domestically and abroad, Alisson Becker was named the best Goalkeeper of the 2018/19 Champions League season, keeping 6 clean-sheet in 13 appearances.
