The Red Devils boss has a big task to win Man United their first silverware since 2017
Ole Gunner Solskjear time to deliver for Manchester United is now following significant additions to the squad.
The Norwegian was appointed in 2018 to replace then under performing manager Jose Mourinho as a caretaker. Following a run of good performances Solskjear eventually became United full time manager.
In his reign as the Red Devils boss, he has managed to guide United to the semi-final stages of the Europa League and FA Cup and the Carabao Cup.
Solskjear was on the verge of clinching his first title as a United coach, but a disappointing defeat in last season’s Europa League final dented those hopes.
Recently extending his stay at Old Trafford, Solskjear has a big task to win titles as a Manchester United boss. United are without a trophy since the 2017 Europa League Success.
The inclusion of Cristiano Ronaldo, Jadon Sancho and Raphel Verane to the United squad has even raised the bars at Old Trafford for the United legend.
The defeat to Young Boys in the Champions League has led to many questioning his competence. Man United suffered a frustrating 2-1 defeat in Switzerland in their opening encounter of the 2021/22 UCL.
The Bigger picture
Solskjear is very much aware of the pressure at Old Trafford. Prior to the start of the season he admitted United can achieve all this term. The summer signings shows that Solskjear has only one job, thus to deliver titles.
