Chelsea extend Thomas Tuchel contract to 2024
Chelsea have rewarded Thomas Tuchel by extending his current deal until the summer of 2024 at the club.
Tuchel initially signed an 18-month contract after replacing underperforming Frank Lampard at the Stamford Bridge in January.
And less than a week after guiding the Premier League club to Champions League glory, Tuchel has been rewarded with a new contract at the club.
The contract extension was granted after the German led the club to fourth place in the Premier League and two finals [FA Cup and Champions League]
what Tuchel said after extending his stay at the Stamford Bridge
Upon signing the new deal the 47-year-old said to the club’s official website: “I cannot imagine a better occasion for a contract renewal. I am grateful for the experience and very happy to stay part of the Chelsea family.
“There is far more to come and we are looking forward to our next steps with ambition and much anticipation.”
The German has already set his sight on writing his name into the history books of Chelsea by adding more trophies to his game at the Stamford Bridge.
He has won 19 games out of his first 30 matches as a Chelsea boss, losing five and conceding sixteen goals in that process.
And last week he became the first manager to reach back-to-back Champions League finals with two different teams.
