Micheal Zorc confirms Sancho is staying at Dortmund and has extended his deal to 2023 already
Manchester United persuit of Dortmund star is set to come to an end after Sporting director Micheal Zorc confirmed on Monday afternoon that “the decision is final” the 20-year-old is staying and he has already penned a new deal.
Sancho who is valued by his club at £100m was pictured in Switzerland with his teammates as the team [Borussia Dortmund] heads for pre-season training ahead of the upcoming season.
Borussia Dortmund had previously indicated they wanted a deal completed before pre-season resumes, in order to make room for any additions to their squad.
On Monday afternoon, Zorc confirmed that Sancho will be staying at the club for the 2020/21 campaign, highlighting “the decision is final and it answers all their questions.”
“We plan on having Jadon Sancho in our team this season, the decision is final. I think that answers all our questions,” Zorc told reporters.
“Last summer, we adjusted Sancho’s earnings to meet the development of his performance. So in context, we had already extended his deal until 2023.”
Manchester United will now have to turn their eyes to other alternatives, with Bayern Kinsley Coman being targeted on loan by the Red Devils
