Outgoing Mbappe to be replaced by Erling Haaland as Paris Saint-Germain prepares a last minute swoop
PSG have target Erling Haaland to replace Real Madrid bound Kylian Mbappe at the Parc des Princes.
Kylian Mbappe who has turned down six renewal proposals from the French giant is eager to make a dream move to the Bernabue.
The 22-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain from rivals Monaco in 2017 and has since become one of the deadliest attackers in world football.
With less than a year on his current deal, Real Madrid are determined to sign the France International before the the transfer deadline day on Tuesday.
Paris Saint-Germain sporting director confirmed the forward want to leave. And in his statement Leonardo revealed the will not block any possible move, however, he will only leave on their terms.
“Kylian wants to leave, it seems clear to me. If Real Madrid makes an offer, it seems clear to me… I am taking a position which I think is clear to everyone. If he wants to leave, we are not going to hold him back, but it will be on our terms.
“Kylian always promised that he would never leave the club for free. That’s what he’s always told us.
“We have no plans to talk to Real Madrid again. The deadline is August 31 at midnight. That’s how the transfer window is, but we are clear about this: we want to keep him and extend his deal. But we’re not going to let him go for less than what we paid for him, when we still owe Monaco money.”
And with time ticking fast, PSG according to reports will try to sign Borussia Dortmund’s Erling Haaland.
The Daily Telegraph reports indicates PSG will attempt to make an incredible last minute swoop to replace Kylian Mbappe with Erling Haaland in what could complete one of the most remarkable end to a transfer window in history.
The France forward has scored 133 times with 63 assists in 174 games in all competitions.
