Ghana Football Association is on the verge of reappointing Otto Addo as the national teams coach ahead of the world cup

The Ghana FA is preparing a new offer for Otto Addo to become the Black Stars head coach as Qatar 2022 approaches.

Having led the national team to the 2022 Fifa World Cup, the ex Black Stars player is set to be rewarded with a new contract.

The former Borussia Dortmund player overcame Nigeria in the March 2022 play-offs as Ghana booked it ticket to the Mundial.

Having replaced Milovan Rajevac. And with just two months at the helm of affairs, Otto Addo was released after leading the Black Stars to the world cup.

With the clock ticking fast the Ghanaian FA is set offer Addo another contract. Otto Addo on the other hand has revealed Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund has given him the green light to accept the offer.

“I got permission form the Dortmund under certain conditions. It works out that I can do the international phases in June, September and also the world cup,” Otto Addo said.

When given the mantle, Otto Addo will lead Ghana to the AFCON 2023 qualifiers and the 2022 Fifa World Cup in Qatar.

Other backroom staffs such as Chris Hughton as well as George Boateng are all in line for appointment.

Otto Addo will become the first Ghanain ever to lead Ghana Black Stars to the world cup either as a player or coach when the offer us given.
