Cristiano Ronaldo inspired Man United to a thrilling 4-1 victory against Newcastle United
Cristiano Ronaldo claims Old Trafford was Calm after making his second debut for Manchester United.
The Portuguese superstar joined Manchester United last month after ending his spell with Juventus.
Man United handed Cristiano his second debut in a tie against Newcastle in the Premier League.
Known for scoring goals, Ronaldo scored twice in his first match for the club since 2009. The 36-year-old was unstoppable at Old Trafford, cheering the home fans.
Manchester United continued their brilliant start to the campaign thanks to a brace from Ronaldo and a goal each from Fernandes and Lingard.
Following his brace for United, Ronaldo was amazed by the home fans. And in an interview after the game, the 36-year-old said:
“It’s unbelievable. When I started the game I was so nervous, I swear. But I think it was normal.
“I didn’t expect they would sing all game my name so I was very nervous. Maybe it didn’t show, but I was. The reception is incredible, but I’m here to win games, to help the team and get the club back where they deserve.”
