Jose Mourinho believes Harry Kane will remain with Tottenham Hotspurs despite strong interest from Man City
Former Tottenham Hotspurs manager Jose Mourinho has disclosed wantaway striker Harry Kane with remain with Spurs despite Man City rumours.
The Portuguese who worked with the England skipper admitted he can not wholly predict, but believes the prolific striker will not be sold.
Kane has hinted his desires of departing Spurs, after he openly confirmed he want to win important silverware’s season in, season out.
Manchester City is believed to be the England frontman’s next destination, and it is understood that City will improve their initial bid of €100 million to secure the services of the proven Premier League goalscorer.
And even though Kane has strongly been linked with a move away from London, Mourinho feels club chairman Daniel Levy will not allow his prized asset that is tied to a contract until the summer of 2024 leave.
When asked about Kane’s future, Jose Mourinho told talkSPORTS: “Signing a new contract, I don’t know.
“I would say that [Kane staying] probably is what is going to happen. I don’t see Mr Levy with the desire to sell him.
“Of course Harry was very clear before the Euros but I don’t see Levy open for that, only them know.”
The 27-year-old is currently on International duty as he look forward to lead the Three Lions to their first silverware since 1966, when England host the Azzurri’s on Sunday at the Wembley Stadium.
Kane will only consider his future after the Euros, as numerous club’s line up for his signature.
