Sergio Ramos has urged Kylian Mbappe to consider playing for Real Madrid one day, but is relishing on the opportunity of playing with him this summer
Sergio Ramos has revealed Kylian Mbappe should consider playing for Real Madrid one day, but hopes the PSG star man stays for the 2021/22 season.
The Paris Saint-Germain new signing expressed his belief that great players should join Real Madrid at some point in their career.
Kylian Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move to Real Madrid after report claims he is stalling talks over a new deal at Paris Saint-Germain.
The World Cup winner is in the final year of his current deal at the Parc des Princes and it has been suggested that the Galaticos will test PSG by offering a big-money bid this summer, but new signing Ramos would love to see the 22-year-old remain in Paris.
Paris Saint-Germain confirmed the signing of Sergio Ramos last week after tying the ex Real Madrid defender on a two-year contract.
Asked if he would advise Mbappe to link up with Madrid in the future, Ramos revealed the Frenchman is destined to join the Los Blancos if he continue to deliver on the big stage, however, he quickly added he want to play alongside him at PSG before he moves.
Lamenting his story to the AS, Ramos said: “Of course. Madrid is one of the best clubs in the world. On a historical level, the best.
“For me, great players have to go through there. But now I want him [Kylian Mbappe] on my team. I want to win and for that I want the best to be by my side.
“Advise on a personal level I could never give. I could tell him something from experience, but I would do it in private. As a PSG player, I would like him to stay. I like to play with the best and Mbappe is one of them.”
The 22-year-old joined Paris Saint-Germain from Monaco in the summer of 2017 and has since won the FIFA World Cup and numerous Ligue-1 titles, as his stock continues to rise as the season goes by.
