Mason Greenwood’s brace for Manchester United has pushed him into the illustrious company of the club’s history
Manchester United teenager Mason Greenwood has reached a milestone in the club’s history after his brace against Burnley took him on the same level with club legend Wayne Rooney.
Mason Greenwood (19) becomes the first player since Wayne Rooney to grab 15 Premier League goals as a teenager in Manchester United’s history, levelling the record set by the United all-time top scorer.
Since the beginning of last season Mason Greenwood has outscored any teenager in Europe’s top five Leagues.
And Solskjaer is adamant the English international will soon begin to find the net consistently. “Being a center-forward in the Premier League probably the hardest position to play. At the moment, I think he is more suited to playing that wide role, dropping into pockets, finding space and running in behind.”
Tge 19-year-old has five goals in his last six outings for Manchester United in all competitions.
