Kelvin De Bruyne likely to exit Manchester City if two-year UEFA ban continues

Kevin De Bruyne has revealed he could leave Manchester, if the two-year UEFA ban on club, Manchester City still continues. The Citizens will serve a two-year ban across all European competitions for serious breaches of Financial Fair Play rules.

De Bruyne’s current contract with City runs until June 2023 and although he is happy at the club [Man City], the Belgian says a long exclusion from Europe’s elite competition could have an effect on his career.

In an interview with Belgium outlets Het Laatste Nieuws “The club has told us that they will appeal the decision, and they are 100 per cent convinced that they are in the right.”¬†

“I have confidence in my club [Manchester City]: if they are saying it’s true, then I believe them. We’ll wait and see what happens. Once there’s a final decision I will look at it. Two years without [Champions League football] would be long. One year is something I might be able to cope with.” – He added.
