The Los Blancos are keen to not to lose Raphel Verane as a free agent and are waiting for an official offer from Manchester United
Real Madrid are expecting an official bid from English giant Manchester United for France center-back Raphel Verane.
The Los Blancos did offer fresh contract to Verane last summer, but talks of extension has since been stalled as a move to England is more likely to happen.
Madrid tabled one-year contract extension for the defender, and after learning he is eager for a new challenge and with Verane being in his final year of his current deal, the La Liga giant doesn’t want to risk losing him for free next summer.
With Verane’s deal set to expire next summer, Madrid have opened their doors for a potential transfer of the player and reports claims they are waiting on an official bid from Manchester United.
Discussions for a possible transfer of the player have been held, and the Red Devils are expected to make an official approach for the France international, after they were given the green light to negotiate personal terms with Verane.
Verane is understood to favor a move to England, with Man United touted to be the most likely destination but wants a gentleman’s agreement with club president Florentino Perez.
Manchester United on the other hand remain keen on signing Verane as they seek a new partner for club captain Harry Maguire.
Money is never a determining factor for Raphel Verane, who would earned more than his current wage if he were to sign a new contract at Madrid or head to Old Trafford.
His desire solely remains on sporting ambitions and is keen to test himself in another country.
