Leicester City thrash Southampton at the St. Mary’s Stadium

It was a pulsating performance from Leicester City on Friday night, as they hammered Southampton 9-0 at the St. Mary’s Stadium in the Premier League.

Benden Rodgers side leapfrog Man City [who have a game in hand] to move up to second on the Premier League table, following an astonishing performance on Friday night, with Vardy and Perez scoring hattrick each.

Ralph Hasenhuttl [Southampton manager] after the game – “The performance was a disaster today and I have to apologize and take 100% responsibility, I’ve never seen a team act like this, there was no fight for anything.”

Hasenhuttl continued: “It was horrible to watch and everyone who stayed to watch is really a fan of this football club [Sothampton]. Leicester were in every part of the game better than us.

“I’m a proud man but the way we play today is not the way I want to see my team play. We must get our heads up and that is my job in the next few days.

“we must play to the last minute but I can understand why the fans left. We all must do everything to pull this back.”

Leicester City has become the first ever team to win an away match by 9-0 scoreline and equaling Manchester United record, as most goals scored in a single Premier League game.
