Tottenham Hotspurs striker Harry Kane has set another challenge for himself, admitting it will be a failure should he fail to clinch a silverware with England
After admitting he needs trophies to add to his game, Tottenham striker Harry Kane has set another lofty aim at International level too.
Harry Kane disclosed in the later part of the just ended season that he needs to win silverware’s for people to recognize his contribution to the game.
With that in mind the English International has set his eyes on helping the Three Lions to win their first major trophy since the 60’s, saying ‘it will be a failure on his part if England does not win a major title‘ under his captainship.
Kane is part of another strong Three Lions squad heading into the upcoming Euros, after a tough selection decision from manager Gareth Southgate.
England have struggled to deliver for years, however, finishing fourth in the 2018 World Cup and third in the 2018-19 Nations League has brought some sought of hope to Kane and many.

“That is how long ago we are talking about, and it’s down to us to put that right. I think if I finish my career as a footballer without winning a major trophy for England, I would see that as a failure.
“I know we are still progressing, still got room to improve, but that is the goal and I think we can do that.”
