Pep Guardiola has reveled Jurgen Klopp has played an instrumental role for him to become a better manager
Jurgen Klopp on Wednesday called Pep Guardiola the best manager in the world after guiding Manchester City to their Premier League crown in his four year spell in England.
Manchester City reclaimed the Premier League title from Liverpool on Tuesday night after Man United lost to Leicester City, prompting many managers to congratulate the Spaniard.
And in an interview Pep Guardiola disclosed he warmly accepts those congratulatory messages, however admitted Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp has made him a better manager.
Klopp and Guardiola competed in the German Bundesliga, with Borussia Dortmund and Bayern Munich respectively before meeting again in the Premier League, and the former believes the presence of Klopp has even made him become a better manager.
“Jurgen [Klopp], of course is an inspiration for me and he has made me through his teams in Borussia Dortmund and Liverpool.
“He made me think a lot about the games and everything, so I appreciate it a lot.”
Pep Guardiola committed his future to Man City last year after signing a two-year deal to keep him at the club until 2023.
The Spaniard has won eight major honours at the Etihad, including three Premier League titles in his first four years in England and could even add the ultimate Champions League trophy later this month when his side face Chelsea.
