Ronaldo who spent nine season’s with Real Madrid in Spain has revealed that, the rivalry between him and Messi became more healthier after he switched Manchester United to Real Madrid in 2009.
The pair have been nominated for 2019 Ballon D’Or award to be held in France in December, as they look to dominate the award once more after Luka Modric interrupted their dominance for the first time since 2008.
Cristiano Ronaldo when asked about his rivalry with Lionel Messi: “A lot of people said that we fed each other, that being together in Spain made us better.”
“That’s certainly true. I felt his presence more in Madrid than in Manchester. It was a healthy rivalry. We were the symbols of our clubs.” he [Ronaldo] added.
