Cesc Fabregas reveals how Jose Mourinho persuaded him to join Chelsea
Cesc Fabregas has revealed Jose Mourinho convinced him to join Chelsea after the later revealed they are going to win the Premier League in their first-ever meeting.
The Spaniard left Arsenal for Barcelona in 2011, and after three seasons in Spain, where he won the La Liga and Copa del Rey with the Catalan club, Fabregas was deemed surplus.
Following his release in 2014, the former Gunner first choice was to rejoin Arsenal, however, the likes of Chelsea, Manchester United and City were all interested for the midfielders signature.
After being left in the dark by then Arsenal manager; Arsene Wenger, Fabregas joined Arsenals London rivals Chelsea, following Mourinho’s persuasion.

Fabregas went ahead and won five silverwares including the Premier League during his spell with Chelsea, where he made 198 appearances, scoring 22 goals and picking up 57 assists after forming a formidable partnership with fellow countryman Diego Costa at Stamford Bridge, before eventually leaving in January 2019.
