Otto Addo steps down after guiding Ghana to world cup
Otto Addo has resign as Ghana’s head coach after leading the Black Stars to Qatar 2022 world cup. The ex Ghanaian international has step down after two months in charge.
Ghana following a disappointing campaign in the African Cup of nations dissolved the technical handlers of the team.
Much names where being suggested, however, Otto Addo eventually got the nod to replace Milovan Rajevac. Addo’s appointment became a shocker to most football fanatics in Ghana.
His immediately appointment raised many skeptical comments from Ghanaians, as many felt he has limited time to guide the national team to a victory over Nigeria.
With all said and done, the former Borussia Dortmund man led Ghana to the 2022 fifa world cup, after edging past Nigeria on aggregate score line.
Less than a week after leading the Black Stars to Qatar, Otto Addo has resign. Despite that, he believes he could be back for the world cup proper.
Confirmed on Twitter by George Addo Jnr:
“My stay was for two games against Nigeria, we need to discuss this with the Ghana FA and my club Dortmund.
“I will like to continue and be at the World Cup with Ghana, hopefully we find solutions”.
