Man United skipper has disclosed the paramount reason he left Leicester City to Manchester
Harry Maguire has revealed he signed for Manchester United because he wanted to help in bringing the club back to greatness.
The English man joined the Red Devils in the summer of 2019, after United broke the record fee for a defender.
Manchester United over the past few years have struggled across all competitions. The Red Devils last won a trophy in 2017, under then manager Jose Mourinho.
And following the departure of Sir Alex in 2013, United best position in the Premier League has been second.
Pressure to win silverware’s made the club fired former player Ole Gunner Solskjear.
Running on inconsistent performances, club skipper Maguire has shared his thoughts on the situation at Old Trafford.
In an exclusive interview, Harry said, he joined United to help them get back into winning ways.
“I came here to win titles. I could have signed elsewhere but I wanted to be at United and help them get back to winning ways that the club had in the Air Alex era.
“It will come if we all stay together. I most important thing for us is the fans, and we are letting them down, he added.
“But the support at Old Trafford and at away grounds is still unbelievable.”
The defender has failed to replicate his form at Leicester City, as he continues to struggle at Old Trafford.
However, in spite of that, Maguire has charged his teammates to team up and give their all for the club.
