Tottenham new boss Nuno Santo has hinted his intensions of keeping Kane amid rumours of £100m transfer
England skipper Harry Kane has been linked with a move away from Tottenham, but new club coach Nuno has disclosed the 27-year-old is still their player amid rumours of £100 million transfer.
With trophies proving elusive in North London, Kane reiterated his desire to win major silverware’s season in, season out as he sparked rumours of a possible departure from Tottenham Hotspurs.
The prolific striker is liked to both Manchester clubs; City and United, with the former even making an official offer in excess of €100 million in a bid to fill out the slot left by departing legend Sergio Aguero.
However, Tottenham quickly rejected the offer from the Citizens as they remain firm to keep their captain. Kane is tied to a contract until the summer of 2024, making Spurs reluctant to sell him.
When quizzed about the growing rumours of Kane’s future in his maiden press conference, new manager Nuno Santo told reporters:
” Kane is our player. No need to talk about anything else. Period.
“Now is the time for Harry to recover his energy and rest. When he returns is the to talk. He needs to prepare for what is to come.
“I have no doubts in my mind. I have no doubts.
What I wish is for Harry to recover well, to have a good rest and when he arrives he will feel that every one of us has to commit ourselves to become better.
“We are very ambitious, we are ambitious people and want to do it well and [we have] no doubts on Harry [Kane] on that.”
