Borussia Dortmund prolific frontman Erling Halaand is sad to see fellow teammate Jadon Sancho depart as he reflect on the need to look for a new partner as his source of assists.
Jadon Sancho remained a long term target for Manchester United since last summer, and after a lengthy negotiations between the two clubs, a deal has finally been reached.
Manchester United is set to finally unveil their new man after striking a deal worth around £73 million for the English international.
The 21-year-old returns home after fruitful years in Germany, and his departure has made striker Erling Halaand needing a new source of assist after they both flourished together last season.
Reflecting on Sancho’s departure, Erling Halaand said to Stadium Astro:
“Me and Jadon [Sancho] understood each other very well and he is a top player.
“So of course it’s sad that he goes but that’s how it is and that’s football. You never know what will happen. But I think that there’s a lot of other good players that I have good tone with and it can become even better.
“We have to see who I match the best with.”
Erling Halaand has been liked with a move away from Dortmund with Chelsea and Man City keen to bolter their squad with his inclusion with report claiming Chelsea have officially offered a player plus cash for a swap deal.
However, the Bundesliga club have no intention of leaving another prized asset depart after sanctioning the sale of Jadon Sancho to Manchester United.
