Black Stars skipper Andre Dede Ayew rubbishes claims of him quitting the national team
Ghana’s captain Andre Dede Ayew has disclosed he will continue to play for the Ghana Black Stars even after Qatar 2022 provided he is fit.
Ayew according to some reports was on the verge of quitting the national team after the Stars abysmal performance in Cameroon.
Having led Ghana to it worse campaign in the African Cup of nations, calls were on the midfielder to retire from the team.
And despite not featuring in Ghana’s crucial encounter with Nigeria in the World Cup play-off, Ayew is expected to lead the team in Qatar 2022.
The Black Stars man has no intentions of retiring from the soon. He believes he still has a lot to offer the nation.
Will Dede Ayew continue to play for Ghana Black Stars after the 2022 Fifa World Cup
When questioned on weather he would take a break from the team [Black Stars] after the 2022 Fifa World Cup, Ayew said:
“I am not looking at the age. I am looking at me being fit and performing well.”
Ghana have been paired with Portugal, Uruguay and South Korea in group H of the world cup.
