Manchester United shot stopper David de Gea nightmare continues as his errors sent Chelsea into the FA Cup Final
Barely a month since a furious Roy Keane said he has had enough of David de Gea abysmal performance on Sky Sports after a howler from him allowed Steven Bergwijn’s shot into the net at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.
The Spainish international produced yet another poor performance that cost Manchester United a slot in the FA Cup final.
De Gea was at fault once again at the Wembley Stadium, for at least each of the three goals Chelsea scored.
Dating back to his poor performances for Spain at the 2018 FIFA World Cup, De Gea has not been himself for the past two years; making about seven error leading directly to goals in the Premier League.
Recent performances from the 29-year-old looks more like a decline in form from the four-time United player of the season.
Former Man United player and Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville last month said: “He was the one player United could rely upon for the last four years but he is not the same and he has not been the same for some time.”
With the pace at which De Gea’s errors is costing the club, there is a call from fans for on loan goalkeeper; Dean Henderson to replace the Spaniard as the clubs preferred number one.
Henderson has conceded 29 goals in 34 Premier League appearances, keeping 13 clean sheets in that process for Sheffield United.
