United to host Arsenal on Monday night football

Solskjaer is unlikely to have both Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial for the game on Monday night, with the former picking up a groin problem during the 2-0 loss at West Ham and the later sidelined, having been out of action with a thigh injury since United’s 2-1 defeat to Crystal Palace at the end of last month.

Again, midfielder, Paul Pogba is also a doubt coming into the game against Arsenal, after picking up an ankle injury in United’s penalty shoot-out win over Rochdale in the Carabao cup on Wenesday. Ole said after the game-“He [Pogba] finished the game and got a knock to his ankle which is very swollen so it was best for him not to go there [to the meeting]. He’s a doubt for Arsenal. That’s just the way it is”. “I wouldn’t put my life on Rashford and Martial being fit, that’s part of the game, you work with what you have”- He added.

However, injured Luke Shaw could feature against the Gunners after missing United’s last five games, Solskjaer confirmed on Friday morning- “He’s [Luke Shaw] is back in training today, he is getting there, so let’s see how he react in the next couple of days. He’s being working hard, we hope to see him before the international break, maybe on Monday but I’m not sure”

Luke Shaw likely to return against Arsenal

Arsenal’s recent visit to the theater of dreams has been awful, with United unbeaten in their last twelve home matches against the Gunners. However, the Red Devils performance at Old Trafford has been abysmal, with the only positive coming from the opening day 4-0 win over Chelsea.
