Chelsea have agreed a fee on the region of £34m to sell Tammy Abraham to Roma

AS Roma have agreed a fee in the region of £34 million for Chelsea and England striker Tammy Abraham.

Abraham has fallen behind the pecking order at the Stamford Bridge following the arrival Thomas Tuchel.

The English international was left behind by Tuchel in Chelsea’s Champions League final against Man City, a game the Blues won 1-0.

The imminent arrival of Romelu Lukaku would even make matters worse for the 23-year-old.

In view of that, Chelsea are looking forward offload the striker with the fee believed to be around £34 million.

Arsenal are keen on signing the striker, however, Chelsea prefer to sell the striker to a foreign based club.

Despite his limited game-time during the second half of last season, Abraham ended the campaign as Chelsea’s joint-top scorer with 12 goals.

The center-forward has featured in all of Chelsea’s preseason games and is in contention to play against Villarreal in the Uefa Super Cup.

The 23-year-old will now have to decide if he wants to play for Roma, who are managed by ex Blues boss, Jose Mourinho.

Mourinho was in charge at Stamford Bridge as Abraham was coming through the Chelsea academy, but the forward didn’t make his first senior appearance for the Blues until after the Portuguese had left the club.
