PSG and Bayern Munich set to face each other on Sunday in the Champions League fianl
The 2019/20 Champions League final showdown is all set as Bayern Munich takes on Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday. The Bundesliga Champions saw off Ligue 1 side Lyon in the last Semi final game of the competition on Wednesday evening.
Bayern Munich came into the game as huge favourites on the night but things could have been different if Lyon had been a little bit clinical in front of the goal post, missing two glories opportunities before Sergi Gnabry broke the deadlock in the 18th minutes with a beautiful strike from 20 yards to hand Bayern the lead.
Gnabry again grabbed his and that of Bayern’s second in the 33rd minutes as the German Champions took control of the game into the break.
Following the break, tensions were high as Lyon pressed on and on but nothing manifested as Robert Lewandowski killed the game for Bayern Munich with a late header from Joshua Kimmich cross to hand Bayern a 3:0 victory over Lyon after the final whistle.
Robert Lewandowski is now two goals away from equalling Cristiano Ronaldo’s record of 17 goals scored in a single Champions League campaign.
Now it all set as Bayern Munich takes on Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League final on Sunday, as they look to win it for the sixth-time in their history while opponent PSG is also looking for its first ever European silverware.
Will Bayern Munich complete their much anticipated treble by winning the trophy or PSG are going to clinch their first ever Champions League title and can Robert Lewandowski equal or break Ronaldo’s record?
