Bayern Munich are exploring the possibility of signing Borussia Dortmund star Erling Halaand according to sporting director Hasan Salihamidzi.
According to the club’s sporting director, the Bavarians would love to lure the Norwegian to Allianz Arena in future.
Halaand has enjoyed a brilliant start to life in the Bundesliga since his departure from Salzburg in January, 2020.
With an instant hit at the Signal Idunna Park, there has been interest from various clubs across Europe.
A couple of weeks ago, Chelsea saw their offer for Halaand being rejected by Dortmund.
Not only the European Champions, many top teams in Europe would like to sign Halaand.
The latest club to further express it desire of luring Halaand is Baryern Munich, as revealed by the club’s sporting director.
Appearing on a German TV channel Sport 1, Salihamidzi said: “He’s a top player, and I hear a great boy too. You look there, but he’s a Dortmund player. Sixty goals in 60 games. You have to look, otherwise we would be full amateurs.”
According to Sky Germany, it would be very difficult for Bayern Munich to compete against other interested clubs financially.
As things stand, they would be unable to meet the transfer fee and salary demands for the 21-year old.
Erling Halaand enjoyed a fruitful season with Dortmund, scoring 41 goals across all competitions last season.
Bayern Munich on the other hand are looking to win it eleventh League title after clinching an unprecedented tenth successive honours last term.
