“Who doesn’t want to go to world cup”, ex Black Stars captain reveals
Former Ghana Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan has declared his intentions to play in the upcoming 2022 Fifa World Cup, but has highlighted some conditions.
Gyan Ghana’s leading top scorer revealed it every player’s dream to play the world cup. The striker has represented the Black Stars in three different world cup tournaments (2006, 2010 and 2014).
Asamoah Gyan admitted that currently, he is inactive but should he begin to work, he could be in shape for Qatar 2022.

Will Asamoah Gyan play for Ghana Black Stars in the World Cup?
In an interview with Citi TV, Gyan said:
“Who doesn’t want to play at the world cup? Every player wants to play at the world cup.
“Yes I have tasted world cup three times and though I would love to play at this year’s world cup as I have always said.
“I am currently not fit enough to play active football, but when I start playing who knows.”
The Black Stars ex skipper last played for the national team in 2019 and his last appearance at club level came in 2020 with Legon Cities.
Ghana will begin the tournament in Group H against Portugal, South Korea and Uruguay.
The Mundial kicks off on November 21 and ends December 18, 2022.
Asamoah Gyan has netted 6 goals in the world cup, making him the highest scoring African in the tournament history.
