Aaron Ramsey and co set to be shown the exit door as Pirlo plans squad overhaul
After guiding the club to it ninth successive Scudetto, Juventus on Sunday announced that they have relieved Sarri of his duties as the club’s head coach.
Maurizio Sarri was touted as a failure after the club finished the league with the it lowest points tally (83) in about a decade coupled with Champions League exit.
Just hours after ending Sarri’s ill-fated stay at the Allianz Stadium, Juventus immediately announced that they have entrusted the top job into the hands of Serie A legend Andrea Pirlo to become the club’s next manager.
Pirlo played for Juventus between 2011 and 2015, has already began preparing his squad for the upcoming season as the club enters squad overhaul.
It was reported on Monday that Blaise Matuidi is set to join David Beckham’s MLS side Inter Miami.
The latest player now on the list to exit the Italian Champions is former Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. The Wales international joined Juventus last summer on a free transfer following his 11-year spell at the Emirates Stadium.
Sky Italia reports indicates the midfielder could be sold but it is not a priority for new manager Andrea Pirlo.
Ramsey made 35 appearances for Juventus scoring four goals as Juve claimed their ninth successive Scudetto and 36th in their history.
Again there has are rumours that Sami Khedira and Gonzalo Higuain are also likely to exit the club as Pirlo shapes his squad for the up coming season.
