PSG’s president has vow wonder boy Mbappe will remain with the club next season amid speculations over his future
Kylain Mbappe has been heavily linked with a move away from French giants Paris Saint-Germain with rumours circulating the forward will not sign a new contract to remain in Paris.
The 22-year-old has a contract with the French club until the summer of 2022, but has been linked with a move away from PSG, with Real Madrid or Liverpool tipped to be the next likely destination for Mbappe.
The France international who scored a whopping 42 goals in a competition for PSG last season recently flued speculations of leaving the club after he revealved reasons why he snubbed Real Madrid some years back.
However, Paris Saint-Germain club president Nasser Al-Khelaifi has played down all those rumors linking Mbappe away from the club by stating emphatically that ‘the club will never sell the forward’.
Speaking with L ‘Equipe the President said: “I will be clear, Mbappe is going to stay in Paris. We will never sell him and he will never leave on a free (transfer). Mbappe has everything he needs in Paris.
“Where can he go? What club, in terms of ambition, can compete with PSG today? All I can say is that things are going well and I hope we can reach an agreement (on a new contract).
“This is Paris, this is his country. He has a mission, not only to play football, but to promote Ligue 1, his country and his capital.”
Paris Saint-Germain missed out on winning their favorite Ligue-1 title last campaign after losing it to Lille, while exiting in the semi final stage of the Champions League.
